Spin a random picker wheel for names, giveaways, classroom choices, dinner ideas, teams, and quick decisions.
Use the wheel when a visible random pick is more useful or more fun than choosing from a plain list.
Spin the Wheel is a random name picker and decision wheel for giveaways, classrooms, team assignments, dinner ideas, chores, games, and quick tie-breakers. It is useful when a visible, suspenseful selection feels better than a plain random number or list shuffle.
For classrooms, the wheel can pick discussion turns, review questions, or activity groups. For giveaways, it can choose from eligible entries after the list has been checked. For everyday decisions, it works for dinner choices, chores, meeting icebreakers, content prompts, and game-night variants.
The wheel is only as fair as the list you give it. Each non-empty line becomes one chance, so check for accidental duplicates, misspellings, blank lines, or entries that should be weighted before spinning.
The wheel reads each non-empty line as an entry and gives each line one segment. Duplicate entries create duplicate segments, so they increase the chance of that option being selected. Spins use browser cryptographic randomness to choose the landing angle, then the final wheel rotation determines the selected segment.
The animation is visual, but the selected landing position is decided before the wheel settles. Removing the winner after a spin is useful for drawing without replacement. Removing all matching winners is useful when duplicate lines represent the same person or option rather than extra chances.
